Sam Houston’s famed “leopard skin vest” on display at Sam Houston Memorial Museum, Huntsville, Texas USA. The vest was actually made of jaguar and was given to Houston by the Cherokee. Houston intentionally mislabeled it a leopard-skin vest, because, he said, “A leopard never changes its spots.”
